What went well during this vacation? (Please include in this section any activities which were noteworthy.)

Eh, gotta say. Christmas was pretty spiffy. Seeing the Trans-Siberian Orchestra in the Verizon Center wasn't bad either.

I finished all my college applications-that was definitely noteworthy, and I think they went pretty well. I also got to see members of my family who I don't normally get to visit. I also got some much needed shuteye. Maybe too much.

I got to see old friends and make new ones, I had fun at work, and I saw my extended family at Christmas.

I had a lot of things that went well over vaca. i went to the mall about 3 or 4 times with friends. that was fun because i got to see them. i also went to the movies and saw King Kong with my friend alex. it was a great movie. i also had a lot of hockey.

Sleep, video games, skiing, christmas presents!

this vacation i got a new snowboard so when i went to crotchet on tuesday to try it out i had a very good time. there were also a lot of people there i knew so i got to see people i wouldn't have normally.

This week I went to my dad's cousin's wedding and it went really well. It was the twentieth anniversary of the groom's (my dad's cousin) parents being killed and this day was a big step for him. After going through tragedy, it was nice for the whole family to come together to share something happy. This wedding also happened to be on New Year's Eve so it was nice to ring in the new year with a marriage.

Well something that went well for me was the movie going during this vacation. I had not been to a movie in a couple months, and I went three times this vacation. I have to say that I felt I did a great job choosing the movies to see, because I was not disappointed with any of them. I enjoyed 'The Ringer' the most. Another thing that went well was the amount of time I was able to spend with my family and friends, which was a lot. I love the holidays.

What could have gone better during this vacation?

make it longer

from thursday to sunday i went away with my dad and i wish that i could have stayed home because it was rather boring hanging out with him and his 50 year old friends.

I got sort of down about not applying to any other boarding schools at the end of last year; I couldn't leave ConVal because I would feel like I had left things unfinished, so I have to stay put. Also, I failed the written portion of my Driver's Test, so I have to go back this Thursday or Friday to try again.

I really wish I could have gone skiing this vacation. If I had, than it would have been an even better week. i didn't have the time or the money to ski, but I wish i had figured out something.

Less college applications!

Our vacation should have been much longer. It was essentially way to short, and I feel cheated on vacation time. It also should have snowed more because snow + holiday = a winter utopia. I also wish I'd had less homework.

Over vacation I didn't have many opportunities to see my two clostest friends. One was gone New Year's weekend and the other was gone almost the entire week. This friends was up north at his uncle's camp snowmobiling and I would have been able to go with him if I didn't already have a mrriage to attend. I was pretty bummed about that. During the school week, I don't usually have the opportunity to see my friends because I am so busy. Therefore, it is important to me to be able to do so over vacation and the fact that I wasn't really able to was disappointing. Other than that, who could complain much more about a ten- day vacation?

Probably should've maybe, like, you know, gotten up before noon a few more times than not.

Identity someone who inspired you during this vacation, someone who achieved something above and beyond expectations.

lets c the people who have inspored me this vaca are my firneds. they continue to make me laugh amnd come up with new fun things to do. it never gets boring when were all together.

Dan Brown deserves praise because i read his book over the vacation and i really enjoyed it. i also would like to give praise to my friend phoebe because she gave me a new pair of her goggles and also helped me get my new snowboard

I was inspired by one Ben Davis to become rich and make restitution for all the mooching I am forever pestering him with.

My brother inspired me with his ability to stay up to 6 AM on multiple nights.

My friends inspired me this vacation by doing what it takes to see their friends, be it driving for two hours to visit, or being willing to run to the old playground at night, or insisting that I learn to play their card game, or e-mailing me every day just to see 'What's up.' I really appreciated it and it made me want to work harder to stay friends with all these people.

Santa went above and beyond my expectations this vacation. People always say that seeing is believing, but this time I have evidence to suggest otherwise. Although I didn't see him squish down my chimney on Christmas eve I have reason to believe he did because I know my mom couldn't have actually given me my brand new luxurious digital camera for which I have only been asking her to buy me for 12.5 years. Mr. C really went big this year. Way to go big guy!

Someone who inspired me this vacation was Dick Clark. Even though it was obvious that he was not in tip top shape, and it was hard for him to be on television for New Years Eve, he struggled through it, and I think that he showed a lot of courage to go back to the show after such a hard year.

The Cahoon brothers are amazing people. When their friend I'll call 'Josh' was stranded via car accident with his neighbor of questionable repute, the Cahoons didn't hesitate to drive to the very distant town where he was stranded. It was also quite late at night, and they faced subzero temperatures. The Cahoon brothers may or may not have had to fight a rabid porcupine when they reached Josh. Mr. O'Leary also exceeded expectations for making a 'Philosophy Winter Vacation Feedback Survey,' instead of a regular one.

Please use this space to write things of praise about yourself based on your experiences during this vacations, things about which you are proud.

im proud of myself because i was able to get saome homework done. i never do homework over vaca and yet i found a little bit of time to do it. thats what im proud of myself.

i am pround with myself for going off a jump and a box snowboarding. usually i hold back alot doing things where i could hurt myself even if i probably wouldn't. i was happy that i didn't chicken out like normal.

I didn't ask for anything for Christmas this year, because I don't really need anything. Instead I asked my family to donate to a few different organizations that I knew of, and that worked out really well. People were really impressed that I had 'given up' my gifts for charity, but I really think it shouldn't be so uncommon. And usually I'm a really shy person, so I don't make new friends quickly, but it was really easy to get into this new group that I met over vacation.

I got myself a pocketwatch for Christmas. End of story. :-D

I guess I am proud because I thought of some creative things to do for a couple people for Christmas gifts. I am making a charcoal drawing of my grandparents late dog. She was recently put to sleep when the vet found cancer in her kidneys, liver, and stomach. The drawing will be greatly appreciated by them when it is finished. I am also making a drawing for my boss/ friend.

I tried to not spend my whole vacation doing homework, because I can easily become obsessed by it and forget there are more important things to do-like doing nothing with your friends. I think I 'did nothing' quite well on several occasions. My best experience was probably blowing soap bubbles from the edge of Macdowell dam and looking at the stars. It was fairly useless, but incredibly fulfilling.

I was also able to stay up very late, setting a new record of 7 AM.

One event for which I was proud happened the Friday before Christmas Eve. That night, I went to see King Kong with three of my friends. After 3 1/2 hours in the movie theater we left around 11:30. I fell asleep on the way home and when I do so, I am usually out cold. Of course, being that I have such caring friends, they decided to be 'funny' and play a trick on me. When we arrived at my best friends house for the night, my boyfriend picked me up and threw me into a snowbank in the middle of my friend's backyard and left me there sleeping. I was quite confused when I woke up covered in snow in the pitch black outside. They had turned off all the lights, knowing that I can't see in the dark. I carefully made my way to my friend's front door only to realize that they had generously locked me outside. It was then that I devised my plan. I knew they were sitting in the basement near the only other door to come inside, so I would knock on this door and quickly run around to get into that door when they got up to let me in. I stripped my jacket and lay it in the snowpile where my boyfriend left me so when they opened the door it would look like I was still laying there and they would step outside to come get me. Everything went according to plan as I knocked on the door, waited to hear all of them get up and come open this door and ran around and let myself in the basement door. Sure enough, they all so intelligently stepped outside to go wake me up (they must have thought Rudolph knocked on the door) and shut that door from the inside and locked them outside. Suckers! Let's just say that I will be able to continue falling asleep in car rides from now on without worrying.

So this past vacation came and went as quickly as the little fruit cups in the ConVal cafeteria. Nonetheless, it was a worthwhile time. For Christmas I received a generous allotment of socks and edible confections. I also received a fruitcake-which was neither edible nor a sock-so I quickly passed it on to an unsuspecting friend. I think that this friend actually enjoyed the fruitcake. Some people are strange like that. However, as excellent as my vacation was, I did not receive any mystical randomizers, or staplers with magical powers, and this greatly saddened me. In consolation to myself, and to anyone else who shares my fate... it just makes the randomizer and the stapler(s) all the more intriguing if Mr. O'Leary is their sole proprietor.

hey everyone hope you all had a good vaca. i no i did. i also hope that sun mornign wasnt to rough for a lot of you.

Here's some advice for the juniors: don't save all your college applications for Christmas vacation, it sucks.

I didn't get underwear for Christmas. The one year I asked for it, I didn't get any. I guess that when they know you need it, giving underwear for Christmas loses its enticement for parents.

i want to give praise to everone who finishes this survey because it is very hard to pull away from all the fun vaction activities.

If there is one thing this vacation taught me, it's that wearing a pocketwatch with black jeans and a Trogdor hoodie makes you look like some kind of well-cultured metalhead. AKA, pretty darned awesome.
