| Identify instances of respect that occurred this week in class. |
all week i saw and heard very few people talking at wrong times throughout the whole day
classmates were attentive when someone was talking and respected their ideas, even if they didn't agree with the idea.
Everyone is able to speak about what is on their mind and they are not afraid to put ideas on the table. No one is made fun of for any idea they think of.
Everyone listened to eachother and responed thoughtfully in our small groups and Large Groups as well.
Everyone listens to eachother and they are respectful of what others have to say. I like the movie!
fellow classmates were quiet when others were speaking and no one laughfed at anyone responces.
I noticed that when someone was reading the reading that no one was talking to someone beside them. People were quiet during the movie, and showed respecrt to the teacher by listening to what he had to say during our discussions.
Most all in class have been respectful to a degree where we can all feel comfortable. But i think a few of us slipped up once or twice perhaps side conversations that carried on longer than they should have.
nobody made any body feel bad when they shared their feelings on a subject.
People listened to each group that was sharing what they discussed in their small groups with the big group.
People listening to eachothers belief's and reflecting on them. Helping eachother out. Courteous disagreement.
People would work together without having a problem.
students listening and complementing other students ideas. Even using them in their writings.
The whole time I was in the class I never felt disrespected, disrespected anyone else, or saw anyone disrespect anyone.
we read the passages and i believe everyone was listening so that is a form of respect.
When people are reading the readings people listen contently.
When we have class discussions about writing we did, sometimes students desagree, but they listen politely to other peoples ideas.
| What went well in class this week? |
class discussions
Everyhting went well in class. We had many good conversations.
everything went well in class this week. all the discussions and small groups.
Group discussions helped everyone, tought people that theres so many ideas out there. Lots of respect too.
I enjoyed our reading, i was absent a lot but class discussion is deffinately the pinnacle of the class in my view.
i enjoyed the writing because i finally get to put my words on paper towards a desired subject
I enjoyed wathcing The Matrix and finding connections between it and The Allegory of the Cave. I thought this was a great way to use the kowledge gained from reading The Allegory, and comparing it to the Matrix.
i like how we have a planed out squedul and how we have enough time for everything and we go to watcha good movie.
I think that overall all week went well.Exspecially the groups.
in classs this week i think that the discusssion on the movie went real well
Our class discussions, it seems like people are opening up more.
The Allegeory of the cadge discriptions
The assignments were clearly defined, that is not always true in other classes. I liked recieving handouts telling us exactley what to do.
the class went well this week. it wasnt out of control and people were being quiet
The writings this week were pretty easy and fun and watching the matrix made me realize that there are a lot of connections between the matrix and the allegory of the cave.
there was enough time given to complete assignments.
Watching the Matrix and connecting it to the Allegory of the cave went very well.
| What could have gone better? |
Could have focused more.
i could have not been sick and seen te matrix
i think that everything wwent pretty good mabey the discussions we had witht the sub could of gone better.
i think that nothing this week could ahve gone any better thatn it already did.
I was sortof confuzed at the beginning but now I've got the hang of it.
I've only been in the class for three days, but so far nothing bad has really happened, it seems like an effective class.
It's really hard having a sub. Especially if they have no clue what we are doing.
Maybe we could start to move onto different writings quicker as we have been studying the allegory of the cave for a while now.
| one thing that could have gone better was more time for writing on the first day. |
People could talk more in small groups
some of the classes seemed repetitive, especially with the sub.
Sometimes the readings can feel tedious. But once we get into discussion it all changes. Part of a potential problem could be the fact that sometimes one can participate or even be the most active participant in open discussion on a certain reading, without ever having read the material.
The only thing that I believe could have gone better was when MrSs. Codman was substituting that she could have done a better job when holding group diiscussions. It seemed we spent most of the time explaining the movie to her rather than making connections.
the substitute teacher needs to understand the assignments more.
we could be more awake but that's up to everyone in the class
We could of had more time when we had the substitute to disscuss the readings
| Identity someone who inspired you this week, someone who achieved something above and beyond expectations. |
Adam Connely (sensory deprivated wise leaders)
Adam really impressed me with his personal response to the Socrates piece. That took alot of nut to compare the issues from the piece to his own life and share it infront of the class.
Colin does a really nice job on everything he writes and i like how he really thinks about the things in what we read. GO COLIN!!!!
Colin Issoti gave alot to the cloass this week with some of his good insites to the Matrix.
colin seemed to contribute well to both small and large group discussions.
Colin's writings were excellent this week. He clearly conveyed his point without over elaborating, and has a good grasp on the material studied in class.
I always saw Colin as having some wisdom. This class is giving me a chance to see the parts of life to which he is wisest. I think he knows a lot more than even he will chose to acknowledge. I think we will see good things from Mr. Izotti.
I believe Paige inspired me this week because she seemed to compare the Allegory quickly to life and did not really have to think about it that much.
I never knew how smart Meghan Olsen was intill this week, she is a very hard worker.
I think whoever wrote the DlP read outloud in class did an excellent job reflecting upon what they learned in class. they did a good job of not only quoting themself, but also the readings we did, and other members of the class.
Nicole always seems to have something very thoughtful to say and her writings always have a lot of time and effort put into them.
one person that inspired me was cullen Izoty. He really got into the discussions and shared all his thoughts on the subject.
Rob always has something nice and intelligent to say during discussions. It's nice to hear his views.
Rob because i liked the story that Mr. O shared that he wrote. Also because I agree with alot he had to say.
rob essix
Robert Essex, he thinks deeply about his answers and has surprised me with how he thinks and has intellectual answers that I agree with.
Usually Kisa has good ideas that make sence to me and help me understand the things were are writing about
